Costa Rica Part One
We just arrived back in the states after traveling to Tamarindo, Costa Rica for a wedding. This was my first time traveling to Costa Rica, and I couldn’t have been more pleased! It was SUCH a good experience compared to Cuba….
We flew into Liberia, which is about an hour drive from Tamarindo. Tamarindo was a TOTAL surf town. I felt like we were in southern California. Everywhere you looked there was someone surfing or hanging by the beach. It made for an extremely laid back experience.
We actually stayed in this gorgeous Airbnb Villa that we found in Hacienda Pinella. The wedding we went to was at the JW Marriott so we were looking for something close by, but I would highly recommend staying in the Hacienda Pinella area if you are going down to Tamarindo.
The Hacienda Pinella Area is a HUGE community. It has beaches, restaurants, hotels, neighborhoods, condos etc. They also give you access to the Hacienda Pinella Beach club. We spent a good amount of time over at the beach club. One of the best Mojitos I’ve had!
Traveling to any Central/South American country can come with a set of challenges and we definitely ran into some of those while in costa rica. The first day we were there we had no air conditioning in our living space. It was cooler outside than in! Eventually we got it all set up and were good to go. The next day ALL of our water stopped working. Figures it was the day of the wedding, the day where we all wanted to look our best for the occasion and we ended up having to shower over at the beach club! LOL.
Besides some of those challenges though costa rica was beautiful. I had some of the best seafood I have ever eaten, spent a great time with family and friends, and had one of the most relaxing vacations andrew and I have taken in awhile.
Last week you saw the video of everything I was packing for Costa Rica, Including this Rebecca Minkoff top I picked up over at Saks off fifth in Miromar outlets. Shop this whole look with this link here!
