Fall Style Mixing
Fall colored trees, chilly winds, and layers on layers is something almost completely unheard of if you live in Florida like me. I constantly am longing for a typical ‘fall’ day, where I can break out my boots, flannels, and textured scarves. We do get a few nicer days and on those I like to do some fall style mixing. But seriously, it hits 75 degrees and we are breaking out all the sweaters!
When mixing styles you have to be careful one style does not overpower the other. It is important to that you love both of the styles your mixing, that will show through when putting your outfit together. What is great about style mixing is the contrast it creates. Who dosen’t love a good contrast? Our eyes are instantly drawn to contrast, it creates drama and a dynamic that maybe a more matchey look wouldn’t create.
Some of mixing ideas you can take advantage of this fall is florals and knits like i’m wearing above, a mixture of colors like dusty rose and deep deep merlot. Think leather and suede or maybe even a soft velvet. Velvet is a super HOT trend happening this fall. Another mix I’ve been dying to try is lace and knit trend and pair it with some over the knee boots. Sexy, stylish, and comfortable. May be a quick style coming to The Signature Coast later this month….
