Long Haul Flight Attire

Preparing for a trip can just be  SO much work. I always get so excited the week of that I literally can not think or talk about anything else. I usually plan my trips within a short amount of time and really try to maximize the time I have while traveling. Therefore getting the proper rest, hydration, and stating germ free while traveling is very important. In this post I’ll tell you all my secrets of how to dress for a long-haul and my key finds for my carry on bag.

When I am flying I like to be as comfy as possible. If you are trying to look like an amazing jetsetter you may be a tad uncomfortable throughout your 8 hour flight. Trust me. I have totally been that girl. Most recently I was really just trying to save some space in my luggage, but I made the mistake of wearing my over the knee boots on my overnight 10 hour red eye. yeeeeah not my brightest moment. Mid way through the flight my feet were screaming at me to take off the boots. They swelled up like crazy! Once I landed I tried throwing my boots back on and they were just not having it. I couldn’t even zip them up!! It was embarrassing but also way to uncomfortable.

Needless to say I vow to always be comfy. My go-to fly attire is a loose pair of denim or my favorite leggings. I like to then pair that with a looser top that I can get away with just wearing a bandeau. Because who wants to wear a real bra? Then I will choose to wear either sandals that are easy to slip on and off, or my most comfy pair of espadrilles or converse.

But what really ends up making my life easier is my key items in my carry on bag. Here is my list of items I always include on a long flight!

  • a scarf
  • hairties
  • advil
  • water bottle
  • pair of socks
  • Kleenex
  • Glasses
  • headphones
  • granola bars
  • Mascara/lipstick/blush
  • Hand sanitizer/lotion
  • Makeup wipes
  • Electronics
