Mules Mules Mules
Mules, Mules, Mules. If you would have told me five years ago that this trend was going to circle back around I would have never believed you. I also never thought that I would actually be into them either. Maybe it is my age, or just seeing them on all of the most famous celebs and NYFW but Mules are hot for spring right now. You can get mules in all different textures, colors, heel heights, the options seem limitless.
I recently was shopping at bloomingdales and I found a pair of black mules that were super comfy, I just felt a little to Sandy from Greese. You know the one where she is dress in all black leather? I couldn’t get over it. LOL. But then I was browsing around Old Navy after doing a return and I ended up finding these tan leather mules for only $10. Such a deal! Especially for a shoe style that most likely is going to fade. Although I have had my eyes on a suede grey pair that have a shorter heel that I have been interested in as well.
Trying a new trend is always risky, a you always feel a little out of place if the trend happens to not be within your normal comfort of style. However I think keeping up with the trends and being able to incorporate a little of them into your everyday basics is important. You of course are going to see all of the high fashion brands putting out all of the newest trends but unless I am totally in love with it, and I feel like I would wear it more than 10 times I won’t make that kind of investment. But for a quick mule trend, anything under $50 is worth it!
I paired these mules with a basic white dress, and threw on a lacey headband to dress up my look a little. I think pairing these mules with some ripped light wash boyfriend jeans, and a cute tank would be super adorable as well!
