At first when I saw the 70’s suede, and flare jeans making a comeback I totally hated it. Don’t get me wrong my mother always did say I was a flower child, but the idea of channeling my inner Jackie and Donna from ‘That 70’s Show’ just was funny to me. Although I will say the way this style is coming back is much more modernized, and can be a lot of fun!
I love the a-line structure this plaid skirt has, when paired with the blush turtleneck I felt totally groovy. I was inspired to buy a plaid skirt for fall, but I wanted something inexpensive because I probably will only wear it a few times this season. You can pair this plaid skirt with a nude top like I did here, or you can throw in a chambray shirt or even a blue piko! Shop this skirt along with a few other favorites here, here, and here!
What really gives this look that 70’s vibe is the accessories. The maroon leather jacket is a must have color for this fall and can easily be transitioned from a day to night look. I got mine at Forever 21, but here is one just like it at Tobi. These round sunnies from ray ban were a summer favorite as you can see in this past blog post. These booties are a darker shade than I have been wearing and do a have fringe detail on the zippers. I honestly can not remember where I bought them, so shop similar and similar!
